Description:
“We have not inherited the planet from our forefathers; we’ve borrowed it from
our children.”
To remind the above quote by Lester Brown and to keep the young minds abreast
with the current happenings around the globe, Inspiration Sr. Sec. School
Kathgodam planned and conducted an Inter-house Board Decoration Competition
on 12 April , Saturday, as per the academic calendar 2025-26.
The competition was held in two categories; junior for classes III to VIII and
senior for classes IX to XII. The topics given were :
Class III -VIII
La Nina – Effects on Indian climate, agriculture and water resources .
Class IX – XII
COP-28: Global climate summit and India’s role in addressing climate change.
Students in both categories participated and contributed enthusiastically for their
respective house-board with competitive spirit and a zeal to win. The objective
behind the competition was to make them learn and apply the importance of
sustainable development . It was to remind them that even if the world is
progressing in terms of Artificial Intelligence, we humans cannot overpower
nature. The students justified the objective through their creative drawings and
written articles.
The competition was adjudged by the Principal Mr. Anurag Mathur and the Vice
Principal Ms. Mamta Taneja. The judges appreciated the efforts poured in by the
students and applauded for their excellent presentation.
In the junior category, Yellow House bagged the 1st position followed by Green
and Blue in the 2nd, while Red House stood 3rd. In the senior category, Green
House, Red House, Blue House and Yellow House bagged the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th
