Description: Capabilities are built together with everyone to brainstorm Focusing on class room importance, Inspiration Public School organized a Capacity Building Program on 30th May 2025. Resource persons were Mr Kamlesh Joshi and Mr Abhishek Mittal. Respected Principal sir Mr Anurag Mathur welcomed the resources persons by offering a bouquet and thanked them with his kind words. The program was anchored by Ms Priyanka Sharma. The topic was not only captivating but eloquent too. It focused on how a gender sensitive classroom should look like. Gender sensitivity in the classroom is vital for creating an inclusive atmosphere where every student feels recognized and empowered. It was told to us that educators should use inclusive language, invite learners to share their preferred pronouns, and avoid gender assumptions. It was told that how a curriculum review should be ongoing to replace outdated examples and include literature by non-binary and gender-diverse authors. Class discussions should diverse perspectives, ensuring materials highlight contributions from various gender identities. A Classroom approach should be balanced representing marginalization and promotes critical thinking by challenging traditional narratives. Teachers can design activities that resist gendered expectations, such as rotating leadership roles or offering choice in participation. Seating arrangements can avoid reinforcing gender divisions by mixing groups regularly. Physical spaces matter: private areas for personal needs and facilities that respect individual dignity foster safety and belonging. Professional development can help educators detect unconscious biases in assessment and management, leading to fairer outcomes. Regular student feedback can open channels for discussing gender concerns, cultivating positive trust and respect among peers. Embedding gender sensitivity is a cultural commitment that evolves with changing social norms. When students witness equitable treatment and authentic representation, they develop empathy, collaboration, and confidence. Ultimately, a gender-sensitive classroom lays the foundation for academic excellence and social harmony by honoring every learner’s uniqueness. It was indeed a wonderful learning experience that will help us to make a Gender Equal Class room and make our kids more empathetic and they will gain a positive outlook.
