Description:
The Harela festival is a significant celebration in Uttarakhand, particularly in the Kumaon region, marking the onset of the monsoon season and the beginning of the sowing cycle. The festival holds deep ecological, agricultural, and spiritual significance in the local hilly agrarian communities.
Inspiration celebrated Harela festival with enthusiasm and fraternity. The concept of Seed Germination was taught to children using this tradition where they sowed barley and other grains in small baskets or pots filled with soil, which were then watered regularly. With these efforts Harela plants flourished and the celebration of this festival was displayed today in special assembly.
Children showed a variety of programs including beautiful comparing in Kumaoni languaue. They displayed cutting of Harela Festival and how it is offered to Gods and put a blessings to kids and all family members on head and stuck on ear.
Harels also promotes environmental conservation, cultural preservation, and community bonding.Chairperson Dr Geetika Balutia, Principal Mr Anurag Mathur and Vice Principal Ms Mamta Taneja blessed the students on the occasion. Students thoroughly enjoyed the celebration fest marking unity and prosperity.
