Description:
Fireless cooking activity was conducted by students of classes VI – VIII. The aim of the activity was to provide a platform for students to showcase their talent and explore new areas of interest. It was conducted with a motive to create awareness about the nutritional value of food cooked without flame, the advantages of eating healthy and staying away from junk food. The students were supposed to prepare one main course item and one beverage of their choice. They made yummy, lip-smacking dishes like Bhel Puri, Fruit Popsicles, Bruschetta, No Daal Dahi Bhalla, a versatile variety of sandwiches, sprouted bhel, healthy biscuits, rice paper moms, Lettuce Rolls, Taco, variety of drinks like Mojito, Lassi, Oreo Shake, Jaljeera, Matha, Pina Colada etc . They dressed themselves as professional chefs wearing an apron, chef’s cap and gloves to maintain utmost hygiene. They also served the dishes in an artistic manner which was a treat to the eyes and a tickle to the taste buds. Children doled out nutritious yet delectable delicacies. Chef Hema and Dr Nidhi from Pal College were invited to judge the delicacies. Our Honorable Chairperson Dr Geetika Balutia, Principal Mr Anurag Mathur and Vice Principal Ms Mamta Taneja accompanied them and praised the efforts of all the students. Activity incharges Ms Reeta Rathaur and Ms Smita Pant coordinated and supported all the children. This Fireless Cooking activity helped the students in exploring their hidden talents, fostering their creativity, and becoming independent.
